Narcissi, ranunculus, freesia and hellebores

January is typically seen as the boring month of the year, where everyone is either dieting or choosing to stay in and save money! However, surely a better way to begin the year is to make a start on those wedding plans and look forward to your big day.

In this blog post, I hope to share with you some options for seasonal wedding flowers in January. After Christmas and the traditional red roses and spruces, florists begin to stock some of the spring blooms e.g. hellebores, ranunculus, anemones and narcissi (see image above). A beautifully simple and classic bouquet which will never date, and yet heady with the scent of narcissi.

Protea, wax flower, roses and tulips

Tulips and hyacinths also make an appearance in January and come in a variety of colours. The bouquet above also features protea, wax flower and roses with an abundance of foliage. A stunning combination and in complimentary tones of apricot, burgundy and antique pink.

So there are a couple of ideas to inspire those brides considering a January wedding. If you have any thoughts you would like to share or would like a bouquet similar to those featured, feel free to get in touch.
